Big-D Southwest has provided design/build services in partnership with Orcutt | Winslow to Casa Grande Regional Medical Center for an addition that includes construction of a new 56-bed, 47,050-sf medical tower and a 13,000-sf, 22-bed Intensive Care Unit. Additionally, the team was contracted to perform an 8,956-sf interior renovation to the cardiology department, PACU (seven-bed), an endoscopy catheterization lab, state-of-the-art operating room, 480-sf electrical room and expansion to the central plant. New site work encompasses a 464-car parking lot and landscape / hardscape components as well. This project was completed in 18 months and returned $260,000 to the owner from original estimates to final construction. Casa Grande Medical Center serves as a base station, providing medical direction to more than 12 emergency medical service providers in Pinal County. An AirEvac helicopter is based at the Banner Casa Grande campus as well.
