Built to provide expanded services, the 179,745-sf Women’s Pavilion addition to St. Mark’s Hospital is comprised of four stories reserved for medical services and a fifth story built as an on-grade parking structure. The two lower floors of the facility will accommodate a Women’s Diagnostic Center, Breast Care Center, Labor and Delivery and Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The two upper floors have been left unfinished to provide offices for physicians and other staff in the future. The building’s exterior features a steel External Insulation Finish Systems (EIFS) cladding system. Remodeling was required to adequately tie into St. Mark’s existing patient tower. This included installation of and an upgrade to utility services from an existing energy plant. Site work included new roadways to facilitate more efficient hospital traffic flow.
